A simple plot but I know one dayGood things are coming our way
So Lauf I read your journal, and then this song came on, and I just started doodling, because I've also had a rather crummy set of weeks lately, and so this is a sort of vent but also meant as a pick-me-up sort of thing for you, too. In response to the question in your journal, no, I do not believe that maturity is defined by age. Age can affect maturity - often with experience comes wisdom - but it is not the only factor that determines the maturity of a person. Part of it is their nature, their values/morals, and the situation itself. I am younger in age than pretty much all of my friends, but am often referred to as the "most responsible" or the "mama" of the bunch (coincidentally you guys nicknamed me "mama horsey" xD ). I know people who have the spirits of someone much younger than their actual age, and that's okay too.
Tl;dr - Maturity is defined by much more than just age.
I know a few of my other friends have been feeling the gloomy skies, too, and so this is sort of for you all as well. We will get through this together because... well, because. If there is anything I can do (I am really good at listening, and sometimes give okay advice), even if it is just be distracting and small-talk-y, please do let me know.

Being as young as I am, I can totally agree with the "age does not equal maturity" standpoint. I am very mature for my age, but since I'm so young, lots of people don't take me seriously. For example, my asshole dad thinks that I'm too young to be able to make adult decisions. (And apparently I don't know my own feelings according to him either) Sadly, there's nothing I can do about it till I'm old enough to be taken seriously. (Though with my dad it's hopeless) :\
That aside, this picture is beautiful.

Being that you read the description, you know my standpoint and that I agree with you. ^^ It is really unfortunate that some people - often adults - get it into their heads that a certain age automatically equals a certain level of intelligence, morality, judgement, etc. I'm sorry that it applies to you as well. Keep your head up, continue to act with maturity and foresight, guide your own path, and don't be afraid to take others opinions as well, even if it is just to mull it over and find it ill-informed.

Yeah, I'm trying to do the best with what I've got. Luckily I only see my dad a couple weekends out of a month so he is not a big issue in my life time-wise.

This sure came as a slight surprise in my messages, I was like, "Is that Redfawn or. . .?" Then reading this it really made me happy. <3 Thank you very much. And I agree with you on your view of the whole maturity thing, I just also see the stereotype of young age being used unfairly a lot around me and with me too haha. Guess I'm tired of it.
Going back to school after spring break just wasn't what I wanted, and then the first week back was just not a happy one ha, with our school's production of the Musical coming into full swing it also brings some fresh stress. I believe there is some gloom hanging around all of us though, going back to school, the weather, and just the slowness of April and all.

Unfairly, do you mean, in the way of "you're young so you must not be mature" and such? I have seen that around me before and I find it to be quite frustrating. Stereotypes in general, man. Stupid stupid stupid. >>
I totally understand that. And gracious, yeah, I can only imagine with all the flurry of coming back from break AND the production, all piling up. This is the end of my spring break, and I'm not looking forward to the new quarter starting next week. For the past month I've just felt gloomy and plagued with work, work, work, stress, and just general... well, blah.
Speaking of weather, 8 inches of snow yesterday, yipee. I think spring forgot to be spring. >>'

Thank you so much Horsey, really <333. I'll copy and paste part of a comment I wrote to lithe to save up a little time since its past my bed time by two hours xD. But basically what I've been dealing with was this:
I was just frustrated for a time since I did not get the Stage Manager job for our Musical due to a senior having one more year of experience than me, when in reality everyone can agree with me she is the most childish and unexperienced senior crewbie there. xD But due to seniority and status she got the job and then I got even put BACKSTAGE for assistant SM ( which I don't deem that important in my opinion for what I like to do) rather than lighting operator, which completely threw me off and upset me. 
Then figured out that I can't go to a concert I was hyped about for 6-7 months and bought $90 tickets for because I am not 18 and my connect of getting in never had the guts to tell me she could help me so she told me last minute that she can't do anything, thus me not being able to go. -rubs temples-. (A bit sketchy perhaps in your eyes Mama Horsey, but it really isn't at all if I write out the entire story xD)
In addition, I did not really get a summer job I was hoping for due to them not needing more workers, but I have a feeling it is due to me being a high school student and may be not being much help in their eyes or something.
April has started off difficult and tiring, and it will only get muddier and more exhausting as the weeks go on through musical.
But hey,I'm trying to push through it and enjoy the happy moments I get haha. Black Betty got me smiling and laughing. xD.
Omg though, 8 inches of snow? Were finally getting a 70 degree day over the weekend and ahhhh finally. I hope for you the work does not pile up anymore and stays minimal. I'm sorry to hear you had a difficult month, its that tough time of year it seems.
