Would you believe this started with Rick and May laying across each other, with Rick wearing his famous "WTF do I do?!" face? Probably not what you were expecting, but I hope you like it just the same Mad!
These characters all belong to the lovely and are part of his Nuzlocke: Red Madness. (Go read it now: [link] )

This is amazing.
Not only is the art great (as always), but the concept is wonderful as well. This is nicely timed with the recent pages as well I think. The red strong of fate or whatever is used a lot, but I like how this one is all frayed. It even looks like it broke at one point and was tied back together near the end.......wait a second. Is that noose? That's pretty dark and even more original. And somehow made this cooler.
May looks beautiful and Rick looks like his usual badass self. Pele and Bruce look great too. Seiryu looks a bit odd, but then again an adorable gyarados sounds wicked difficult to draw.
Welp, this is simply too epic not to fav.

Oh wow! Really cool atmosphere in this picture *U* I love the glowing, frayed threat that forms a noose on Rick- that's a really cool, morbid interpretation of the red string of fate theme which is usually sickeningly romantic xD This is much cooler.

I think the noose is symbolic, being inescapable, and slowly tightening throughout ones life, until, it tightens around your neck, killing you. All one can do is try to untighten the noose, your life being at the mercy of whoever has the other side of the noose. that is how the string of fate always goes.

Ahem. What can one say about this...masterpiece? Other than "HOLYFUCKINGSHITTHISSOBEAUTIFULANDCOOLANDAWESOMEANDOHMAIGAAAAAH"?
From a more mature standpoint, I love the whole "Red String of Fate" theme going on. I like how the string itself is very frayed and torn, but still holding on by mere threads. Also for a split second I though the string formed a noose around Ricks neck. Just a thing that popped into my head.
As for the characters. Ah funk it, I love how you drew all of them. Especially May, who looks especially pretty (Although now you've made ME want to draw her more now :T)
So all in all, I lav this and it makes me want to do things it that would make it get a restraining order out against me.

It is a noose.
Remember what you said would happen to Rick without May? Their string of fate is totally a benign noose until something happens to May. Then it tightens up, or snaps.
I am SO glad you like it. I really, really loved working with your characters. This just came out so easily Except Seiryu because how the hell do I draw a cute Gyrados?!. I hope I helped cheer up your crappy day.
And yes, you should draw May more. Look at that face. Just look at it~
