Anyone who knows me well, or for a while, knows how much I love the rain. This could be because it is way too hot and sunny here for too long in our Summer months. It is very common to have many 100 degree F days during all of our Summer months, and I do NOT do well during hot weather. I never have.
I absolutely adore rain, during any season, for all the practical reasons of course. But symbolically, it also just feels like it is washing and cleaning the world, and I, my own self, also feel so great with rain- healthier, even if it's mentally.
Rain, always feels like starting anew, having a chance to start over again, and getting a chance to try again, with a clean slate. I love all the symbolism that rain means to me.
These lyrics really compliment my image with poem pretty well, though I'm not actually any big Hilary Duff fan or anything, but always liked this song for the lyrics.

I like the poem, especially the last couple lines. I like when it rains cause my mom always says "what horrible weather." and i just agree with her but i really am thinking "yay! rain!" It's so much fun when it rains cause it's exciting and different. Plus, it's a nice change.

My mom, too!!
WHenever I was always going to go on a trip and it was during Winter, she'd say but you're going to have such horrible rainy weather! And I'd say, "lucky for me, I like the rain!"
Now she doesn't bother telling me that anymore.
Yes, rain is a nice change, sometimes a needed change, especially when you need it for agriculture reasons, too.

I do enjoy the fresh smell after a sudden downpour. Actually, I also like the randomness of it, the unpredictability, the surprise. Plans change. You don't think of the future or the past -- just the here and now. People can let their guard down when they seek shelter with strangers under an awning. It's fun!

I was just writing about the here and now, to someone else, very recently! Wow, that really strikes me.
I feel the same way you do about rain, how random it can be! Especially in certain areas. Sometimes, like here, I actually can feel when it's coming!

Lovely words! This is how I feel when it rains. Especially after a dry spell. It's so enjoyable. I can breathe. The air takes on many different scents, heavenly. I want it to rain for days and days. I want to watch it to wash my windows, and all the leaves. My allergies are lessen. And I just feel SO good!

Nature feels always so fresh and revitalized after a long and heavy rain.
Usually I like rain, but it has been raining again and again for weeks now here in Germany, there where even some floods, fortunatly not where I live..
IΒ΄m starting getting annoyed by all the rain, mostly because itΒ΄s cold too, and cold and wet are not a very comfortable mixture.
I hope it will get warm and dry again, so I can enjoy the rain again, too... but summer is over and I donΒ΄t think the weather will get much better at this time of the year.

Yes, whenever we have too much of anything, even TOO MUCH of a good thing, sometimes we're not as keen for it after all.

I don't even like the heat and sun very much, only because it doesn't like me- health reasons, and we've had way way too much, and I'm annoyed with it and can relate.
