I started this shot as a proof-of-concept for ID ("Industrial Design") magazine. It's done using Merlin 3D's subdivision surfaces. The control mesh is only about 600 faces. Took a whole 2 hours to complete everything here. The body is a silver metallic paint with a clearcoat finish.This superduper PDA has built in GPS and PCS antennae on the right side, volume knob & headphone on the left side, and firewire on the bottom! Not only that, but it's a portable 2-way videophone on top of it - camera is on the top there.

Thanks for the comments! Blasty: the two adapters on the bottom are dual fire-wire ports. What good would it be to have a portable high resolution camera and screen if you can't connected it into an editing system?

that is so sweet, makes me even madder that my trial of this doesn't work and I can't play with it, and I still can't tell this thing is not real, great job.
