I love playing in terragen but I've never been able to get it to render anything very big. My pc is too slow, or is it just that I'm in too much of a hurry.

Maybe it is only the hurry part. It takes time, and if you are like me the size can only be 1280x960...I do not have the paid version, just the free version. But I discovered that they can be resized larger because the DPI is high!
