Practice had been long that day, particularly due to the weather. It was difficult to practice in the rain, but it had to be done, especially if they were going to win the Quidditch Cup this year, and if Wood could do it, so could Harry.

Everyone was tired as they slogged into the dressing rooms, dripping wet and dragging mud all over the place. March weather was always the worst, Harry decided, thinking of his previous six years on the Quidditch team, collapsing on a bench and taking off his stained and soaking practice shirt. Next to him Ron was pulling off his drenched boots. Water pooled at their feet.

"I think we drug in half of Black Lake," Ron muttered to him. All Harry could manage was a measly smile.

If Harry had been more energetic, he would have said, "Good practice team!" or "Well done on those drills today!" but he just sat there and the rest of his team just disrobed in silence.

People began to drain out, Ron among them, but Harry barely noticed, trying to decide if he was awake enough to shower tonight, or if the rain had already done the job. He finally toweled his hair alone, everyone seemingly having gone. He heard his glasses clatter to the ground when he removed the towel, but he decided he was too lazy to retrieve them at the moment. His vision had already been so blurred with rainwater anyways, it didn't seem that much different. Finally he came up with the motivation to move.

Harry groaned when he realized his legs were almost too stiff to stand, staggering into the lockers. He banged the old locker, which opened, and began pulling out his robes.

"Harry?"

The lone voice made Harry go rigid. He turned to face the person, but they were a blur. He didn't have to see her to know who she was.

"Harry, you forgot your glasses," the blur bent, hair afire, and then was in front of him.

"Oh- yea, right," he stuttered awkwardly as hands reached up towards his face, "Just dropped them, actually."

"There you go," he saw her face come into view, her poignant brown eyes staring into his. She smiled, her hands lingering on the sides of his face. His heart flew. "Well," she was turning to go. She was leaving. Why was she leaving? "I'll see you round, Harry."

She was his best friend's little sister, his best friend's little sister, he chanted to himself as he watched her go, "Right. See you."

She was gone.

"Pathetic Potter," he chided himself as he stuck his head in his locker to dig out his shoes in fury. "Really pathetic."

"I thought that today's practice was great, Harry," said Jimmy Peaks, startling Harry into hitting his head in the locker as the younger kid walked into the changing rooms.

"Oh, thanks Jimmy," Harry said half-heartedly, massaging his head. "Thanks."
