There she stands, at the time beyond time, the space beyond space, the void of both beginning and end. In her hands she holds the essence of Creation and the acme of Destruction, and must choose how best to wield them. For hers is the will and the power, and now her wish is her own command...
And here we have the finished product of Hachi's birthday gift to me, and it is simply jaw-dropping. He was aiming for something slightly psychadelic, in the vein of 80s album-art, and the result makes Hama into a veritable Goddess, a being of purest power and beauty, with the fate of all creation in the palms of her hands.
Everything about this wows me, from the metallic effect on her body, to the texturing of her outfit, and the amazing black hole and singularity effects in her hands. It was a really awesome gift by Hachi to not only produce this amazing piece, but to allow me to observe and contribute my ideas.
Hachi, thank you so much! You helped ensure I had a very happy birthday indeed!

THE PRESENT DAY
A University Somewhere in Jordan
A dry breeze blew through the open windows, carrying the smells of the city market into the shared apartment. The scents of food and spices filled the air, and the last rays of the evening sun glinted on every mote of dust that danced between floor and ceiling.
The light shone brightest of all on an oil lamp, one that sat on a carved wooden stand in the centre of the room. Both seemed out of place compared to the rest of the apartment, furnished as it with whatever could be scavenged from market stalls or university thrift stores. The golden rays reflected off the polished surface of the lamp, scattering flecks of light across the walls, which were decorated with posters, lecture notes and project timetables.
The dancing rays seemed to linger briefly on a photograph, pinned in the centre of a corkboard over two desks that flanked the sole window. It showed two young women smiling for the camera, arms round each other’
