Woohoo! Thank you sooo much for those words of encouragement, Cera I'm really glad how it turned out and can't wait to try more backgrounds for the rest of the character updates; I still have Hitomi and Izumi to update, and Shinichi to do to finish the main six students.

Haha, our computer in the background is bent and wonky too (it's like it's underwater or something) We just realised how difficult it's going to be painting straight lines in freehand.

Oh wow, thank you so much for the feedback on the background; This was actually my first time to experiment and design a new background style for our SAI pictures (though I could do with practising more to avoid those wonky lines )

Oh wow, really? Thanks! Well, it's a funny thing because his mouth is deliberately missing (he does have one, but it's just really, really small ), so I'd think some people would think he'd look scary for a person with no mouth. I'm sure Junichi would be happy to hear that you think he's not scary

Hmmm, but in the actual story, a number of other characters (not counting friends like Hitomi-chan and her classmates) would think he's scary, because they won't be able to tell whether he is happy or angry. It's also because he's a bit too calm and hardly speaks much

Oh wow, thank you so much! I'm delighted to hear that the series is still garnering interest There will be another male student in the main cast, but I'm afraid he'll have to wait his turn, since the next one (or ones) will be the female twins

Haha, oh my; There's a thought I wasn't planning to develop this friendship further, but fanart ideas would still be a lovely idea (just as long as the content remains tasteful). And no problems; I'm pretty terrible with portraying romantic couples myself anyways, but if you'd like to have a go, then you're most welcome by all means

And haha, yes; I've caught some occasional episode clips of iCarly at times, so I'm familiar with their cast, humour and antics I can greatly see the unintentional resemblances too, especially the fact that Junichi is a lot like Freddie (except the former doesn't have an overprotective mother or need for Anti-tick lotions).

Hopefully still though, we'd like to aim to deliver a fresh and different style of humour and characters for Ganbatte, Hitomi-chan! But having mentioned this, maybe our series needs an episode (affectionately titled iWanna Be A Net Idol Even If I'm Not C**ly Sh*y) about Hitomi-chan and friends doing a web-live broadcast gag sketch to reference this similarity

Thank you so much, JK! And yeah, we're about halfway finished with the main cast of Ganbatte, Hitomi-chan! There's still another three classmate pictures to go, though it may be four if you count the extra sibling from the twins (Azumi/AZUMI Arakawa, who will actually be the next ones to release)

Awww, thanks! I'm not sure myself whether Junichi and Hitomi-chan would make an actual romantic couple, but they are definitely good close childhood friends. Perhaps I need to make a poll to see how many people think they should be a couple?

And haha, yeah; It also saves a lot of time and money expenses on lip-synching this character if Ganbatte, Hitomi-chan! were to be animated

Yeah, it was a brief moment of trying to draw and design with a wild and crazy imagination I was trying to think of some sort of harness support for Junichi, so that he can conveniently carry his laptop by his side like a bag and open it out for himself to use (like in this picture). It sounds feasible but likely impractical, as I'd imagine its weight would put a lot of strain on his neck

FUN FACT: You'll probably notice that Junichi and Kai have similarities in hair colour, short stature and round face. Well, it's because their designs were based off a cancelled OC from Neo Quest Fantasy
