Been awhile since I've posted eh? XD A busted mouse can do that.

If you've been watching my faves lately, you'll see that I am now OFFICIALLY a Tiny Kong fan...sadly.

For those of you that don't know yet, Tiny Kong from DK64 recently had a massive redesign and is now older than her older sister, Dixie! HUH?!

Sadly, I've actually spent time to research this. As it ends up, the fact that Tiny Kong is Dixie's little sister never made it to Japan, so when Nintendo and Paon redesigned her (presumably to be less of a Dixie clone), they never took that fact into account and now she's older than Dixie!

As for Rare? Well, while Diddy Kong Racing DS came out before Barrel Blast, they were both announced at the same time (remember: Barrel Blast was originally a Gamecube game). As such it was Rare that bent to Nintendo's whims to redesign Tiny.

Personally though, I really like the design (as you can tell).

Also, I have an odd love of studying drastic design changes and would love to do a series of transformations based on them! XD But I need to get better first before I attempt Krystal's transformation from 16-year old cat to 19-year old Fox. I might try to do Berri first though

Until then though, I've got 9003 story based explanations for Tiny's sudden change and I plan to try and make a bunch of them into AP sequences!

Personally though, my favorite explanation is the fact that Tiny's special ability is to change size so...

Dixie: [I'm older and better looking than you!]
*size change!!!*
Tiny: [HA!]
Dixie: [Well crap...somehow I didn't take that into account...]

Yeah.

If you can't wait for me, Kanashimi-chan did a cute pic of Tiny's age change. Look in my faves and you'll see

Now, about the pic it's self (if you're still reading)? Well as you can tell it was drawn in pencil and (poorly) colored on computer. A non-colored version is in my scraps. I drew this shortly after unlocking Tiny's trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and I used it for reference.

FUN FACT: While Tiny really isn't as busty as some fans seem to think she is, she DOES have a bigger butt than both Candy Kong and Krystal!

Perhaps that's why she looks so good in gigantic hoop earrings, sweat pants, and a knit cap *cough cough*.
