I must admit, I was a bit disappointed to discover that Halo 4 doesn't feature my old standby, and fan-favorite: the ODST helmet.Halo 4 has actually gotten me thinking about an old Halo story that and I created in high school, and about how it would actually fit much better taking place contemporary to the story of Halo 4 and Infinity. One of the story's central characters is an ODST, or based on how I'm reworking things, may be a Spartan-IV based on my Spartan from Reach (in which case, I still need an ODST Helmet [link] ).

This should be Halo 5's ODST helmet... not the bulky thing 343i has come up with.

I can see this being a Gen II MJOLNIR armor called MJOLNIR/ODST SPI.
(For those of you who don't know what SPI is, look it up on Halo.wikia.com. Lots of Halo Lore on that site.)

I also notice a few darker green sections. I take it that these are where the Secondary colors lie?

Actually, there is a downloadable add-on that includes the armor sets "ODST" and "Mark 5"

I prefer this version than the version in game. This is a great design. It's recognizableΒ and fits nicely with the Halo 4 theme/style. This is very well done. I've seen the in game version and I don't think it's very good at all and not very ODST. Great work.

Still, I think it's a good sign that 343 was willing to listen to the fans and give us the ODST and Mk.V sets.

It's not bad. Β I think the proportions of the visor are a little wonky. Β (I was secretly kind of hoping they would rip off my design.)

All 3 DLC armors are very less detailed compared to the rest of the armors in multiplayer. But the Mark V is almost a direct port of the one in CEA other then not having the space taking under armor it had.

I miss the ODST helmet! This is actually somewhat satisfying! Can I try and make this a pepakura file so people can do Halo 4 ODST cosplays?

I've noticed that either Rookie or Air Assault seem to be the closest analogs... I was bummed that Operator from Reach didn't make an appearance.

Operator is in H4, but it isn't the same. Reach's version was kind of minimalistic and light. Additionally it came with a pair of trident goggles.

Now that I think about it... There aren't any ODSTs at all in H4 are there? ... That shit is fucked up. And the marine armor doesn't look nearly as awesome as it used to either.

I was pretty upset about the ODST not being in H4. Same with bringing back the SMG. How i want that again. There is a lot of neat helmets so I'm not really that upset anymore.
