Are the Meereni all dark skinned or are they a subspecies (like elves and dark-elves)?

Not universally, but their range of natural skin tones trends slightly darker than that of Humans (i.e. the lightest naturally occurring Meereni skin tones are somewhat darker than the lightest naturally occurring Human skin tones). Additionally, their hair and eye colors tend to be either very dark or very light.
