I actually love Anna's original coronation dress, it's perhaps my favourite outfit from the movie. The use of Arendelle patterns (such as the crocus) really brings it together and reflects the beauty of Frozen's design work. Anna would never suit Elsa's coronation dress; though the colours are a close match to her winter outfit, the entire shape and overall appearance are far too formal. I'm glad they decided to settle on one of Anna's signature colours and go for a more loose and playful attire. But, that's just my thoughts! Either way, this is some really good editing

I digged really deep into the VERY early concepts for Frozen and read that Anna was in fact the one to become Queen, and not Elsa.

Elsa was a Snow Queen up in the mountains. Elsa and Anna were not sisters. Anna was a princess that was up to be queen but for some reason, her heart was broken into two and the only way for her to piece it back together was go to the Snow Queen and ask her to help her to freeze it back together. It was something along those lines.Β

Changing the color wasn't on my mind when I did this edit but now that you mention it, I might try it out when I get the time.
Regarding Anna's dress, I agree that it did look nice. Better than Elsa's? Maybe not but Anna's is still pretty. I actually wanted to use Anna's dress for this picture edit but I didn't get the coronation vibe as I did with Elsa's...
