drone's are usually connected to a central core of some sort, and are primarily used to do a single type of task
a love doll while it may look similar is more restricted it needs targeted commands for it to know what to do but they can generally do a multitude of things and I'm guessing if you wanted to you could have them perform tasks outside the "love doll" programming but don't quote me on that
