Are you using Daz3D or a custom Blender model for this? Trying to get into this kind of thing but I don’t really know where to start. I’m more of a hardware and light modding person, but after messing with D3D even a full stock body takes a lot of work to mess with textures and posing and such.

I use Poser for all my renders, with some post work in Gimp. Poser and Daz3D effectively do the same thing, but Daz is free (warning - content can get very expensive), so if you want to dabble try Daz.
And yes, it does take a lot of work to mess around with textures and posing, although you can load custom poses to adapt.

Is content any different in Poser? I am well aware how expensive things can get. A Victoria model and some ropes only cost me about $80.
Having trouble with, well...posing. Damn Charm hair won’t stick to her head but INSIDE it among other things. Once I get that down, I plan to move to materials similar to what you do. If I can get the hair to work some time this century...

The content is very similar between Daz and Poser but they are not interchangeable. Posing always takes a lot of time but stick with it

Found some hair that moves properly, but posing sure is hard. Try tugging on a hand the whole body flops to the side. I can understand why this takes so long...
Also, how do you achieve that “encased” look for your models? Is it a custom “body sack” you made yourself or something out there you modified?

I mean if you grab tug on her hand the entire torso flops to that side. So irritating. Only way to avoid that I guess is to select the arm specifically before trying to move it.

I don't adjust with the the grab and drag feature, I always select the body part and use dials to adjust. Just my preference.

Good to know. Working with ropes right now and somehow I got the morphs working. Once I’ve got this working, I’ll move on to materials. Is there a “suit” layer that you use for your latex encasment or do you directly change the skin texture?

I dont think thats whats going on here, that shirt doesn't look like an open enough weave and even if it was, light reflects off outer surfaces, the material wouldn't allow clean across streaks if it was reflecting off underneath.

Actually, the shirt is quite thin and slightly translucent, so you are seeing light bounce of her skin... err... surface
