I could call it 'Living in bottle' or 'Water world' or something like that, because I was thinking about water and aquariums and zoo, but I called it 'Baloon Mood' because I was listening to song 'Ballon Mood' by Anja Garbarek. Free falling, weightlessness...world without sounds...

the person with the umberilla I like algo with the bubbles and the trees and the blue-ish feeling... the fish is the thing that isnt connecting with me... anyway. I love the composition although. I like how you did the boarder darkker then the image... makes you focus on it thats a plus.

works well in your light area... the fish is especially interesting to me. i like the way it runs off the page to reappear again, creating a sense of movement with the bubbles. your use of the trees and the person holding the umbrella is interesting too. floating away...balloon time...
and to me the blue is very soothing and calm. excellent work.

If not for your description, this piece could have interpreted into as many different ways as eyes seeing it. Great piece, dark but not scary, simple yet interesting enough to make me have a second look and wonder, what is this that I'm looking at?

back to the subject of the colors. someone above mentioned blue being soothing and friendly. true. certain tones. i always took the icier blue to be more distant and cold. isolation. and the warmer deeper blue tones to be the soothing one. this piece has good mixing of both, the icy blue is countered by the deep midnight at the bottom. (dark and light?, or just co-conspiritors night and the icy touch of solitude?) i know they are representative of water. just giving my own take ion the color scheme. but the central figure of the umbrella man is seeming to rise out of the depths, into cold pale blue, but is surrounded by his own warm tones.
metaphors abound. interpretations may differ...
