I've added some color to my Valkyrie Image. I'm still not completely satisfied with it, but that's the challenge of markers I suppose.Related content

I think the color's great. The colors are bold, but the whole picture has a cool subdued effect.

I think I might do a Valkyrie in each color. I've already got a Green and blue and now Red. I guess I need an orange, purple and yellow one now.

It looks great, I think all that's really missing is some kind of really vibrant background to make the red stand out more.

Backgrounds wth markers really scare me. I have ruined several images by trying to draw/color a background with markers... I usually fake out and use toning sheets (like with this one) to give a hint of background without overwhelming the image

I think the key to success is putting away your fears for what you created, and thinking about how you could always draw it again, that way you can screw up to your heart's content until you get it the way you want it : )

I've gotten into the habit of scanning before I color.. at least then if I screw up, I still have a copy of the original to try again ^_^;;

I know the feeling, I made like two or three scans of the one really good drawing I did. It's hard to let go of that fear of losing it XD Try your best though!

thanks. Red is hard to color with, if you're not careful it may come out too purple or too orange.

They are my new favorite tool aside form toning sheets. You get more control than with paint and a brush, and I already know I suck at digital coloring ^_^;;
