Even before learning that he was an actual father, Christian always had a proper, fatherly air about him. From working with orphaned animals, to working with children,
he developed a soft personality from the get-go. He cares not only for the kids he works with, but their parents as well. A kid is affected by their parents lifestyle anyway.
However, with all that care in his heart, he tends to get overwhelmed by it without even realizing. He'll never treat it as being overwhelmed, but it is apparent in his actions when he fails to hold his attention.
Nonetheless, he is the softest of dads™ and tries his best.

"For the LONGEST, I'd wanted kids. I had a girlfriend for a while, my highschool sweetheart in fact, but the flame just... Wasn't there after a while.
We'd finally discussed having kids- the chances of us being successful parents and what not- and went for it! But nothing happened... So I was told.
I think it was the thought of being a family that kept Simone with me. When I used up all my chances, it was game over. That's when I moved to Maple Bay, after she dumped me. I wasn't bothered, really. Life goes on and I accepted that pretty quickly.
It was on my... Thirty-eighth birthday, I believe. That'd I'd gotten a call from Simone's mother. Only reason I knew it was her was because I hadn't cleared out my contacts so the caller ID led to her. She called me asked to come over, which was odd considering her daughter and I hadn't been a couple for around seven years. I said I would anyway, out of politeness. Drove to her home in our old neighbourhood and the moment I walk in, I see this little girl, too young to be her own child so I instantly assumed grandchild. But Simone was her only kid... So she had to be Simone's.. Which meant...

Her name was Isabelle. Turned out she was mine. Why Simone never told, even her mother didn't know, but I didn't question it. I was a dad. My own blood, sitting right there. She was six when we met, which had to mean Simone kept her from me for a year or so. I thought she'd hate me, be upset with me for not being there, but she treated me like she'd known me all her life. She didn't hesitate to call me 'Daddy' and was comfortable being around this strange man off the bat. I loved her from the moment we met. That had to be the greatest day of my life."
