Description

Name: Feng Lei | 丰藟

Gender: Male

Age: 294 (Appears about 23)

Height: 5'8" (173 cm)

Weight: 146 lbs (66 kg)

Personality:

+ Cunning, intelligent, shrewd, resourceful

= Flamboyant, dramatic, fickle

- Impulsive, deceitful, mischievous, pathological liar

At first glance, Feng Lei seems to be quite the elegant, poised young man, though under closer inspection, he's truly a menace. He is incredibly clever, and typically explains most of his acts with "the ends justify the means"- though typically the ends aren't particularly desirable, either. He's not very book-smart, but is knowledgeable about some topics that serve to benefit him. Most of his intelligence lies in his "street-smarts" and problem solving skills, in addition to his sharp wits and perception. He's quite ostentatious, and typically does things solely for attention, and reacts to said attention in the most dramatic way possible. In addition, Feng Lei is incredibly fickle and impulsive, and will change interests and loyalties on a whim, so long as it benefits him personally. He's a pathological liar, and it's never quite clear when he's lying and when he's telling the truth. If he lies about something inconsequential, it's likely that a few minutes later, he will come back apologizing profusely and telling the truth. One of his favorite pastimes is playing pranks on others.

History:

No one on the continent knew quite where he'd come from, when he'd arrived, or where he'd go next. A strange traveler from the far, far south had been quickly making his way across the land, and wherever he'd set foot, chaos followed. First, a small kingdom on the coast. Feng Lei had cropped up as a concubine, and less than two months later, the kingdom was ravaged by civil war, eating itself alive. The concubine disappeared as suddenly as he'd come, and was thought dead. Next, another Feng Lei appeared in a much larger inland kingdom. Within a few weeks, the king and every viable heir to the throne had been assassinated, leaving it vulnerable to attack from a large empire to the west. With no leader to defend it, it, too, was destroyed. Over the next several years, this trend continued, with large, powerful kingdoms destroying themselves from the inside, all shortly after a traveler named Feng Lei arrived. Each traveler looked similar (though some were of notably different age, and occasionally were women).

People began to speculate. Could this person be a demon? Perhaps an enemy spy, sent to weaken the empire? He seemed to follow no real pattern, and would decimate any civilization he came across, from the tiniest village to the largest kingdoms on the continent. There had been rumors of a similar phenomenon taking place to the north, on a large archipelago that had sunk beneath the sea only 50 years earlier.

Of course, Feng Lei had caused this. Not the islands themselves being destroyed - that had been the work of some other force - but the chaos that had occurred on them. He'd caused many events like this, for years. Centuries, even. His destructiveness began when he was just a child, alone on the streets, forced to beg or steal to survive. It started with only simple cons and petty thefts, but as he grew older, his cunning and deceptive skill grew at an alarming rate. Eventually, as a young adult, Feng Lei was able to marry into a wealthy noble's family. The entire family died mysteriously, leaving him, the mourning widower, as the sole inheritor for all of their wealth. While this had begun as a survival tactic, once he didn't need to do it anymore, Feng Lei simply couldn't stop. It became a sort of game: Ruin As Many People's Lives As Possible Without Getting Caught!

7 years after the traveler first appeared, one year after his last conquest, just as people began to forget about him, news began to spread. Another Feng Lei (this one a woman) had recently traveled to the capital of the empire! Rumor had it that she'd come in something akin to the most extravagant of wedding processions, and had come seeking the hand of the crown prince in marriage. She was welcomed with open arms, and was allowed to stay in the palace for a week while the proposal was considered. After only a few days, the crown prince and the emperor agreed to accept the proposal, and the wedding would be held in a few months. The public was outraged, and though they loudly voiced their disapproval, the plans went on. On the day of the ceremony, a riot broke out, and the ceremony was stormed by a large crowd of people. While she was fiercely protected by her husband-to-be, Feng Lei was dragged out of the ceremony and publicly beheaded.

Skills:

  • Poetry

  • Dancing

  • Singing

  • Painting

  • Calligraphy

  • General mischief

  • Dian Xue: While not particularly skilled with most combat-oriented things, Feng Lei has put countless hours into learning acupressure points and how to hit them strategically.

Additional Notes:

  • Feng Lei is covered in scars, mostly from following his impulses and doing stupid stuff.

  • On his neck is a large scar from when he was beheaded in his past life.

  • He tends to laugh at even the worst of jokes.

  • Feng Lei has the ability to transform into figures resembling himself, though gender, age, and other minor characteristics can be changed in the transformation process. He can also shapeshift into his true form, a large violet and amber dragon.

There aren't any roles in particular I'd be uncomfortable with, though I would like to stay away from roles that inherently involve sexual NSFW (like prostitutes, concubines, etc).
