Description Something a little different from my usual stuff... I did this little doodle today cos I was feeling very down. All in all, this drawing has alot of meaning and symbolism to me personally.

So yeah, let me try to explain a little bit about what's happening here. The little girl is mourning her heart, which she has buried in the snow so she won't feel anymore pain.

Sketched with color pencils. Additional colors and background finished in Photoshop 7.0. Chose to put this in the 'Macabre & Horror' section since the concept behind the work has a macabre theme, despite the seeming cuteness of the piece. Enjoy.

She looks a bit like one of those Precious Moments figurines. lol, I like it though. The more I look, the more little details I see...such a soft look, with such contrasts...the pastels on the girl and the darkness all around. The bit of blood on the snow and the spring flowers growing from it. Wonderful attention to details....

Very beautiful and very painful, I love that contrast in this work

The idea of a child giving its heart away not to feel pain is a very strong idea, it could represent the loss of innocence in a child, which is very heartbreaking, this is a wonderful work.

Thx, I did refer to precious moments figures for the basic structure of the face. I like to think of it as precious moments with a macabre/ironic twist...
