My most ambitious work to date. I've been working on this drawing for 3 nights straight. OK, I know this is question is coming... So here's how it was made:Initial outline sketched in pencil on paper. Airbrushed in photoshop. Composited drawing over a picture of the ocean I got off the net. Several lens flares, hue adjustments & diffuse glows later and tada!!!
Referenced a FFX poster I have on my wall for Yuna's head. Swimsuit design improvised from a magazine. Other than that, the rest of what you see is a product of sheer hard work and genius 
If this image doesn't earn me a full view & a
from everyone who sees it then I think I'll have to give up making art completely...

I love the lens flare. The little sparkly lights that are so characteristic of FFX add a nice touch (even though she's wearing a swimsuit).

It's a beautifully done picture.
Er...I don't mean to be rude, but the area around her face looks kind of blurred and generally bad quality. It looks almost like you've gotten another picture, perhaps this one [link] at a low resolution, and done a bit of manipulation (albeit quite skillfully) to put her head on the swimsuited body. It just strikes me as odd to have her face so indistinct, when the details of her body are so crisp.

Why thank you ^___^! That's incredibly flattering, coming from an artist as skillful as yourself. I now see you already have two wonderful Tidus's in your gallery *grin grin*. I have a cast of various original characters, many of htem which happen to be women, oh my! (Since you seem to prefer drawing women.) What would you like your side of the trade to be of? Perhaps it would be better to switch communication to notes now.

Yes, I originally started out doing this piece with the intention of it being a standard portrait. I only drew in the body one day as a result of boredom. The head does, as you say look slightly pixelated and may infact be a little big, cos in my laziness, I simply scaled down an my earlier A4 portrait to fit the body. So yes, you could say this piece is really a mixture of drawing and manipulation techniques.
I have visited your gallery. You have quite alot of skill yourself. An art trade sounds interesting. What did you have in mind?
