Description
All of the birds I photograph seem inexpressibly lovely to me, although one tires of falling back on such words as "lovely," "beautiful," "wonderful." Besides, if the picture doesn't already convey the impression, then of what use is the word? Anyway, this Tricolored Heron graced my life in Shark Valley in the Everglades.Related content

These medium-sized southern herons are so pretty. I hope I can make it down to Florida again to get my own photos of them.

Thanks, and I hope you do get to Florida soon. After all, this is mating/nesting season--not to be missed. I live in Ohio, but I'm likewise contemplating another trip to Florida myself.
