Mephistopheles stood overlooking the Grazing Lands, his mind busy with planning. Imperion approached him from behind. "So, how did it go?"
Mephistopheles grunted. "It could have been worse, but the mare has lost faith with...recent events. So that works in our favor." Imperion smiled and walked a little past the black stallion. He was silent for a while.
"This is good. The seeds of distrust have been planted and all we have to do is wait."
"What even is the purpose of this anyway?"
"Silly horse, I want power and I'm going to need followers for that. That's why you are here. You are loyal." Imperion stared back at Mephistopheles. "Aren't you?" Something flashed in Mephistopheles eyes, but it was either too fast for Imperion to notice, or he seen no threat in it.
"Of course, I always am. You are the only one I follow and the only one I will be commanded by." Mephistopheles went silent and looked forward, his dull eyes focused on something in the distance. "I am more loyal than you can imagine." His tone was flat, but his eyes narrowed. Imperion was looking down at the herd. He didn't see his companion's expression.

bloop bloop I'm just posting snippets from the original Cavi storyline, just so there's little bits of context here and there. It's still not going to be a fully fleshed out story anymore because of how everything has changed! However, I DO want to get Mephistopheles active and maybe write him a new story that takes some inspo from the original. We shall see.
