Beltrax is apparently immortal (or at least can live a long life), but the most perplexing thing to him isn't how to stop an apocalypse from ending the world, or some catastrophe from ruining billions of lives. It's how children can learn and grow up to become whatever they wanted in the future.
That, and women. He doesn't understand why women keep slapping him.
Pinning the Tail
In the floating world of Skydia, humanity had long since evolved into "Tails", and the concept of the original humans had died out with them. Not wanting to stand out, Beltrax oftentimes disguises his identity, and now it's up to the children to figure out who he truly is.
What is Beltrax
Sometimes, there are more important things than just deducing what Beltrax could be. He's housed, bathed, fed, taught, and played with them in earnest, so why question him now? He's a dad to them, and that's all that matters.
