Yang commands to Yin,Sun sets in the west,
The snake sheds its skin,
Each day a new test.
The world has its laws
Clearly set in stone,
Effect has its cause,
Each soul’s on its own.
We tried to tamper
With this code of laws,
But we’re thin like paper,
And fragile like a vase.
We are thus punished
For being so blind,
We never cherished
A nature so kind.
Earth has great powers
In many tones of black,
What we think is ours
We have to give back.
We’re not the masters,
Just pieces on a board,
And if we’re not monsters
We’ll get our reward.
Winter turns to spring,
Night gives way to day,
Time will always swing,
Light sends dark away.
Some things never change
And follow their course,
So it is not strange
That we cannot kill the source.
