Physical description: Frostbite's skin is like that of someone that has been frozen. Her appearance is a pale ice blue skin tone with dark blue hair, eyes and lips. Her skin is freezing to the touch, and even she herself, feels the freezing cold. As such, she often wears as little as she can and enjoys being out in the sun, just so that she doesn't feel as cold. She wears gloves to keep from freezing anyone/anything she touches.

Personality: Kimber Leigh Laine was a gentle, soft, warm young woman that led an ordinary life. She still is that same person, but ever since her powers came to be, she has a hard time connecting with people. Over time, she has developed a personality that is as cold as she is. Often times she can come across as manipulative and bitchy. She doesn't want to be, but it has built up inside her over time, and her powers are freezing the woman inside as well as out.

Back story: Kimber Leigh Laine was an ordinary girl from the western United States. She was never the center of attention or the star, but that didn't bother her. She just enjoyed life as it happened and never looked back. She never thought of trying to be more or different, she was content with who she was and how her life was going. In college she met a young man that she soon fell in love with. After dating for a while, she decided that he was 'the one' and the two of them decided to take their relationship to the next level. While they were making love, Kimber felt her skin grown colder instead of warmer. She couldn't explain it, but never having had sex before, she didn't say anything. Finally she felt like she was freezing, and even he had mentioned that she felt cold. Kimber knew something was wrong, because he had stopped and wasn't saying anything. She got up, and went and turned on the lights, only to first see her hand was a pale ice blue. She was scared, but didn't say anything until she saw him, lying in bed. He was frozen solid. Kimber screamed loudly and people came rushing into her dorm room to find the young man naked, frozen to death in her bed and Kimber in a ball crying frozen tears. Her blonde hair had turned blue and her eyes had become a pale blue, losing that sparkling blue she had before.

Once the authorities arrived, being unable to explain anything, they turned her over to the local government who then sent her to a military hospital for testing. Once there, she proved to be a difficult patient both physically and emotionally. She didn't want any of this, she kept apologizing and begging to be let go. Physically it was nearly impossible to run tests on her, as liquids would freeze as they entered her system, and touching her was nearly impossible as it was unsafe for the medical staff. When she started causing problems for them, freezing her rooms shut, making ice patches on the ground and the sort, a military guard was brought in. Eventually word of her abilities caught the attention of Alpha Strike and she was soon brought into the team. She accepted because this was her only out from being a guinea pig for the rest of her life. After joining the team, she proved her worth several times in battle, and Sarge soon accepted her fully on to the main team. She had an on and off relationship with Citizen Steel. Mostly flirting and the sort. Any time he would get too close emotionally, Kimber would live up to her code name "Frostbite" and give him the cold shoulder, only to become flirty again later. Currently she works as a full member of Alpha Strike and tries to enjoy her role as a "superhero" as much as she can while keeping herself from getting hurt emotionally again.

Powers:

Freezing Skin: Her skin can take tougher hits as it is in a state of freezing. This also allows her physical strikes to hurt more when she attacks someone else. Her continuous freezing skin also allows her to survive normally hazardous or fatal subzero temperatures.

Ice Manipulation: Frostbite can control and create ice. Anything from weapons, to walls, and beyond.

Weaknesses: Although she enjoys the warmth of the sun, just to cut the continuous chill of her freezing skin, too much heat can be fatal to her. Frostbite can also be killed normally, and suffers from the same weaknesses as a normal human.
