Ice crystals in thin cirrus clouds produce a halo around the moon on a cold night in the middle of winter.This would almost qualify as a self-portrait if I hadn't set the focus on the sky and I had done a better job of standing still during the exposure.

Actually, I think de-emphasising you and throwing the focus onto the sky was absolutely the right choice.
Not that I'm saying anything about your appearance, of course...

Wow, that's neat! Never seen anything quite like that before. It looks like a rainbow if you look at the "halo" close enough. lol Rainbows at night!
BTW I don't blame you for not being able to stand perfectly still for 30 seconds.
