Many fear change. Venturing into the unknown. Deviating from a path of safety and certainty into something unexpected. But life is change; a journey through doorways both physical and emotional, with every moment a passage to something new, and it is Janus, God of Portals and Transitions that governs this.
Bearing two faces, Janus is ever looking to the future and to the past, knowing both but controlling neither. He is only the in-between, found in the changing of seasons, at the birth of a child, at the entrances to the temple and the tavern. For this reason the Romans named the first month after him: January – a portal between the old year and the new.

Yet the Roman emperors also attribute a strange tradition to Janus. At each end of his temple stand massive doors. In times of peace, these doors are closed, but in times of war, flung open. As Rome rose to power, rarely were these doors shut, but almost four hundred years of peace have clothed Rome since then and the temple has grown dusty with absence. These days, however, the doors are open once more. It seems war has returned, and the greatest of changes are upon us.

So for the Smite Odyssey I submitted my artwork for a Janus skin. Janus is my main, but I have been using Ba5s Drop since it was released November 2015 but the other skins I get loads of people saying the VP was annoying, apart from his standard. So I thought about submitting a new skin for Janus for the Odyssey but my concept didn't get submitted. So I wanted to share with you guys my concept.

This is a Space themed one. When Janus activates his passive, I originally wanted his body to radiate with electricity similar to the Black hole but I also thought what if he changes form. In this image above, I drew two skin concept ideas for this, and added the Electricity. For this concept, what if Janus has two space skins, as a package, similar to the Nu was, Athenas, and Loki's skins. So I'd like to hear your views.

Idea 1:
The skin could be the first one and when he activates his passive, he radiates with electricity.
Idea 2:
The skin could be the 2nd one and when he activates his passive, he radidates with electricity.
Idea 3:
When he activates his passive, he shifts from the 1st one to the 2nd one, but I'm worried about when he's in 80% cooldown matches and the constant passive activating and switching these forms it might lag or be too much.

Abilities:

Portal:
First form: He creates a glowing portal on the ground in white colours, it looks like a Milkyway Galaxy.

Second form: He creates a Black hole in the ground. I like the idea that it glows purple around the edge.

Unstable Vortex:
First form: He creates two unstable portal he flings at the enemies in an unusual pattern. I like the idea the unstable vortex is glowing blue.

Second form: He creates two unstable glowing shadow balls he flings at the enemies in an usual pattern.

Threshold:
First form: I saw an episode of Transformers Cybertron, where Vector Prime opens a green portal with his sword. It looks like a dimensional rift. This is what Janus opens on the ground, and it glows white.
Reference: Trans-Dimensional Rift I saw this and its similar to what I had in mind. But a diamond or oval shape.
Second Form: Same as the one above, but in purple, similar to his Black hole portal.

Through Space and Time:
First form: Janus blasts a Shooting Star as his ultimate.

Second Form: Similar to the one above but a purple dark colour.

Portal on wall:

Second Form: cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thu… similar to Giratina's one here on the wall. No you cannot see through to the other size of the map you're in on Smite, but can see deep into a 'black hole'
