Description
Three Capones is a town and municipality in the Argentine province of Misiones, located within the department Apostles. It is located at a latitude of 27 ° 59 'South and a longitude of 55 ° 36' West. The town lies at the intersection of two gravel paths: the provincial route No. 2, that communicates to the west and east by Azara Concepcion de la Sierra, and the provincial route No. 202, which connects the north and Apostles to the south corner of Azara and Barra Conception.

The municipality has a population of 1,234 inhabitants, according to the census of 2001 (INDEC).

The first settlers arrived in the late nineteenth century, from Ukraine. The Ukrainians were strong advocates of their customs, so that in 1907 founded a school in the town. The Russian Orthodox Church has in Three Capones a beautiful temple with a huge bell which has only 2 pairs throughout the world. The peak local development occurred in the years 1940, the date of which are deterioration of the buildings as Social Club. Precisely in 1949 establishing the first Development Commission, a prelude to the existing town.
