Wheeeeee I am so proud of this shot! Do YEW have ANY idea how haaaaaaard it is to photograph lightning?? I had to freeze in that one position (i didn't have a tripod) for ages and i had to click about 50 shots just to get lucky.Lalalala *happy dance*

One of the many things I miss about Singapore is the storms and the cloudscapes.
This is a good shot, but what makes it great is that it's a one off shot. As you said, you got lucky....but still....VERY NICE!!

it's not bad...it's just uneven throughout the day....only get good light at sunrise or sunset

I live in the states (in Southern California). I lived and worked in S'pore from 2000 - 2002.
Sunrise and suset is the BEST light anyway.

Ok...my username story....and sorry, it doens't have anything to do with the Singapore Sling, although, I may have to use that one....don't worry though, I'll give you proper credit!!! LOL
I've had the nickname Stick since I was about 11....actually, it used to be even longer....a family friend used to say "Hey there, Ol' Stick, Ol' Sack, Ol' Sire"....EVERYTIME I would walk into the room. My mom got kinda tired of the phrase, so she shorted it to Stick
When I found devART and went to sign up....Stick was taken. (Currently being used by no one, as far as I can tell. 174 pageviews, 0 deviations and 4 comments, since 2001!!) So I thought, what can I use as my user id....Since I had just spent the last two years living and working in Singapore and I had just returned to the states....about 2 months later is when I signed up....and I was kinda going through Singapore blues....I missed it a lot. I had a great time there, made a lot of friends, whom I'm still in contact with....so I decided on singaporestick.

hahahaha you don't wanna know the other theory i had goin in my head. i was thinking along the lines of how singapore is notorious for caning under our legal system. hence singapore stick. as in stick (rotan in local terms) being the way for caning kids. oh god. i have quite an imagination don't i.
