Thanks! I spent quite a while going over it! I didn't do it all at one sitting! lol! Probably was on my desktop for a few months! I would return to it now and then and do a few little things!

Thanks L! I think I approach from a colorists point of view. Story second and details last! I need to add a bit more technique that produces better details!

Well, even though the story is second, you don't seem to be having problems with it. As to the technique, I don't know. I think you've got a good method in laying out the whole scene first, sometimes I find that hard. I suppose it's just a point of attacking the details individually, they always take time and sometimes the attention can wander.

I think I need to use detail brushes to make my life easier! Once the color and layout is done then I can theoretically repaint the image in a more traditional way (foreground to background) using brushes that create textures and details. I can then go back over the whole image adding fine details where required. The way i did this one was to paint all at one go over the whole page.

I would think that would be the best way. I tend to use the detail brushes really early in the painting stage but I think the way you are doing it will be effective too. You can see where it is best to put detail straight off as you have the whole picture set out in front of you.

I like your technique of putting all the paint on at once, because even doing that you manage to get a nice sense of the mood and plus, it looks like it could be a finished piece.

haha that's actually a point..my friends claim that i made up my own sort of language. Since I speak more languages then english..often i'd find myself jumping from one language to another without noticing..totally confusing my friends so yh..it is sorta hard to keep up with me sometimes!lol.. and not just because of my unbelivable slang..but saying that i'm actually good in english and love english too..so *bleh..just one of those things i guess

lol! Ha I do that too! But in your case it's excusable and even admirable (multilingual is good) but in my case I say words that don't mean anything in any language! I'm certain that English is not my native language although I don't speak any other ones! It's very sad! One day I'll find my native tongue! I wrote myself a list of languages that I would learn- Mandarin, Hindi, French, Spanish, Arabic. oooh That is a lot of work! Oh and I forgot to add English! I have to make my use of English more gooder!

lol tell me about it..half the time in our english class..depending on who i'm with.. we sort of break off into another language..so unprofessional. I can speak quite a bit of French (only because we had to study it for years at school..compulsory) Arabic which is sorta my main language lol.. few random stuff from spanish and italian..I'm currently taking japanese lesson!lol (well..i figured since they were doing it at our college..might as well..)I know a very very small amount of swahili (lived in Tanzania for 3 years before i came here 11 years ago although I'm not even remotly from there but it was an awsome place. Also bit of somali (yh..i have routes from there too) and it would kick ass to learn mandarin.. somewhere along the lines you'll find you're language..just don't loose the enlglish along the way!lol
