Description
All sauropods are known to have been rather gainty and imposing, with their highly inclined, possibly vertical, necks and their tails kinked upwards to whip freely above the ground. Mamenchisaurus youngi is one of the sauropods that have these attributes emphasized the most. Especially its tail looked very weird to me the first time I saw diagrams of its skeleton.
