Thank you! I must say, though, that a great part of the merit goes to the art direction, the people at FFG care a lot about wide rapresentation of genders and ethnicities.

I myself never doubted that there were some women in the service of the Empire. Active Combat is different I would guess. Frontline service is not that easy.Β

Yes, definitely. Named characters must look like they do in the movies/animated series but nameless characters can be anything the Art Director (or artist) whishes (so long as it's consistent with the universe, of course).
With the reboot we have Captain Phasma, I've no doubt we'll see quite a few more women in the Empire's ranks, in a wide variety of roles.
