Talyn was an Asrie. Growing up, she was always a rival of Thale , who resented the amount of attention their tutors paid to Talyn despite her lack of commitment and effort. Always laid back and a bit of dreamer, Talyn nevertheless had impressive natural ability and talent and it was always thought that with proper encouragement she would go far. Unfortunately, Talyn only grew more rebellious as she grew older, questioning the sense of blindly worshipping and obeying an empress few of them had ever seen. Nevertheless, she was one of the students chosen for a ritual combat, defeating her long time rival Thale in a brutal fist fight, and was rewarded with a chance to meet with the empress. What exactly transpired, no one knows, but far from reassuring her the meeting led to Talyn fleeing to the country becoming a thief and bandit.

Although a rebel, Talyn isn't completely ruthless or heartless and she chooses to help just as often as she hinders those who cross her path.
