Description The Asrie were one of the first tribes on Themis to awaken, leaving the safety of their garden nursery to explore and rapidly colonise all around the circle sea. They were virtually unchallenged for the first few centuries of their existence, but in time they came into contact with other kingdoms and empires.

The first other people they encountered were the tribes of the deep forest that expands far to the east of Asra. Aside from the odd skirmish they mostly have peaceful relations to this day and the forest nomads are free to travel through Asrie land.  North and South of Asra proved less hospitable. Expeditions to the snowy south often never returned, and when they did they told horror stories of witches and vampires.  Soon several settlements were slaughtered by a people known as the Vanri, and the Asrie built a series of forts to guard the border and sent no more expeditions. Explorers passing through the marshes and mountain passes to the north came up the massive Orkra wastes, and the savage tribes there were no more hospitable to them. And now from the sea to the west the Asrie are constantly harassed by pirate clans from the Priman Isles.

A greater threat however has emerged in the form of the Rysan Empire from across the sea to the west. Twenty years ago the Rysans invaded several islands allied to the Asrie, who amassed a huge army to reclaim them. But although the Asrie were comparable to the Rysans in terms of the size of their realm, they proved no match for them at all in battle suffering several crushing defeats before surrendering. The terms of the surrender demanded that the Asrie pay annual tribute to the Rysans, which they still do to this day.

Princess Sofia, desperate to restore the morale of her people, then went to war with Eremus over another island. Eremus is a small kingdom and Sofia believed it would be an easy victory. However after months of back and forth, it was the Asrie who were eventually driven back and defeated. Shortly after Sofia was slain in a duel with a Priman Pirate.

Now Asra has a new Princess, Lucinda, who is far more cautious but undoubtedly skilled in diplomacy. One of her first acts was to make a deal with the pirates, offering them food and gold in exchange for their services as mercenaries guarding Asra's northern and southern borders.

Beautiful.  I love all the little interactions, especially the woman stooping down to talk to the little girl!

I'd have added more background characters but I was worried I would run out of memory. But in fact this scene actually rendered very quickly compared to other scenes (Maybe because the ground and building textures are such a low resolution - since I'll be using the theater prop quite a bit I have since tried to upscale them).

Yes, I hear 3D artists talk about how difficult it is to render groups, so this is mighty impressive.

Not so much difficult (although time consuming because you have to go through each individuals pose to make sure it's okay), but you're restricted by the computer's speed and memory.

Either way, it's not easy!

An only female world, just like the one where my characters live.

They're nice places to visit!

Not really. Overall, the entire universe of my OCs is only females. Males don't exist, and wouldn't exist even if made it in somehow. They would dissapear before even being part of that reality for the fraction of a second. Me as a male, couldn't visit it.

Well, you can view it at least. Males could visit Themis, theoretically, as it's a world that exists in a wider universe with males existing other places, but the Themans don't know much of their history and only have mythology and legends about the distant past. I'm not sure what they would make of a male though.
