Description
There once lived a black cat in a small village whose name is long since forgotten.
This cat, born on the 31th of October, was shunned by the villagers who claimed that he was the devil in disguise. They feared him, saying that he would bring misfortune upon those who stood in his way.
The cat did not mind the villagers and tried to keep to himself, for he too believed that he was bad luck in its purest form.

But one day, a young woman moved to the village. She was beautiful with a smile that could brighten up the darkest of nights. This woman was different from the other villagers. Instead of turning to run when she saw the cat, she gently sat down and patted him on the head. She told him that such a warm and kind soul as his deserved better than to be hated for sins never committed.
The cat was stunned, for he had never experienced affection in his whole life. He was scared by the woman’s actions, but deep down he felt something that he never knew he could feel, he felt trust.
The woman took the cat in and gave him the love that he had never experienced before. They spent one year together and the cat believed that maybe he had finally found peace and that his life would be worth living. But rumors were circulating in the village, saying that the woman was in cahoots with the devil. The corrupted minds of the villagers made them blame the woman for all the bad luck that had befallen them; the crops that failed to grow the cows that did not want to give milk and the women who could not give birth.
On the morning of October the 31th the woman told her cat that she would not live to see another sunrise, for she knew that the Devil had reached into the hearts of the villagers and finally conquered. She gave the cat a last hug and told him that she would protect him from the Devils hand and that no harm would befall him. She told him that they would surely meet again. Shortly after, the villagers stormed the house.

The woman and the cat were sentenced to death and were burned in the village center at twelve a clock that same night. The cat however did not die.
On the morning of November the 1st he awoke as from a deep slumber, crawling up from the grave he had been given. He was not dead, but at the same time not alive either. He desperately tried to find the woman, but it was all in vain. The woman was no longer alive for she had met her death just as she had predicted.

No one knows where the cat disappeared to but on the night of Halloween, just before midnight, people have claimed to see a black cat proudly walking together with his owner.

This is my little Halloween mascot, inspired by
His name is Limbo. His tail has been replaced by a torch that never goes out and he wears a skull mask to cover his face. The orb in his chest is directly connected to the flame from the torch and will change in color depending on his mood, pink being the default color. He has got real eyes behind the mask but people usually just see an eerie glow, which makes him look scarier than he actually is.
The collar was given to him by his owner. (the fang is from a dog, to make sure that dogs won’t dare to harm him).
