While not exactly anti-social (because that’s a personality disorder, not to be confused with mere introversion.; they’re very different), Seon has never much cared for human interaction. He much prefers to find a quiet place to observe human interaction and take copious notes on said observations. At his best, he’s formal, polite and just a bit quiet. At his worst, he’s sarcastic, standoffish and condescending. He has great respect for his elders and anyone in a position of a authority, like his professors and police officers. He appreciates intelligent conversation and people with interesting psychology. His love for unnecessary, $20-words means he can often come off as being “greater-than-thou”, and sometimes he just doesn’t have the patience to deal with humans. He’s well-aware that he’s lacking in the field of social interaction and much prefers to just leave a conversation if it isn’t going well. He generally dislikes small talk, and will only endure begrudgingly it if the person is someone he respects. Otherwise, he may retort with a sarcastic or vitriolic statement to effectively communicate his distaste for the conversation.
He does make an effort to present himself as a decent human being, but social acceptance isn’t a key value of his, and he feels his energy is better spent in other, more productive endeavors.
"No rest for the wicked, as they say."
