Description Hello to all of you reading this, after a significant amount of time I figured I should finally write up another Who Would Win. For today’s battle we have the male Cryodromeaus from the Outpost ten series and the Spinosaurus from Jurassic park three. Both theropods are specialized Apex predators of their environments but who would win if these two beasts met? For this battle I will go over each opponents background, stats, weapons, defences, feats and weaknesses to conclude an outcome. So without further ado, let’s start with our first fighter, The Spinosaurus!

BACKSTORY
The year is 2001. A young boy, Eric Kirby and his mother’s boyfriend, Ben Hildebrand go para sailing near one of the most dangerous places on earth, the Dinosaur filled island of Isla Sorna. The groups speedboat is attacked by an unknown attacker, killing everyone on board and stranding Ben and Eric alone on the Island. Fast forward eight weeks, Amanda and Paul Kirby, still determined to find their lost son enlist the help of two mercenaries, a booking agent and the “ Assistance” of two paleontologist in order to find Ben and Eric. Unsurprisingly, things go horribly wrong mere moments after landing their plane. It is then they meet the Spinosaurus....

“ It’s a Tyrannosaurus....I don’t think so. It sounds bigger.” Billy and Alan Grant about the Spinosaurus. Jurassic park 3.

STATS
The Spinosaurus stands at 18 feet in height, 45 feet in length and weighs 10.5 tons making it currently the largest predatory Dinosaur seen on Isla Sorna. Despite its size it is actually a very fast runner, charging up to speeds of 27 mph.

WEAPONS AND DEFENCES
The Spinosaurus is armed with a vicious arsenal of large powerful arms tipped with hooked claws and crocodilian jaws full of conical teeth designed for catching and firmly grasping onto prey items. The Spinosaurus is covered in a thick scaly hide with notability larger protective scales at the very back of the animals neck. Lastly, the Spinosaurus has a near six foot tall brightly coloured sail which would act as a intimidation display to other animals.

FEATS
During the duration of the 2001 incident, the Spinosaurus proved itself to be a very powerful and dangerous animal. We see it have its sail sliced open by the propellers of the plane the group of humans used to try and escape the animal. In spite of the large amount of blood that showers the left side of the plane after the injury the Spinosaurus didn’t show much sign of weakness. We later see the Spinosaurus fight and kill a full grown male Tyrannosaurus in under a minute. During the battle, we see the Tyrannosaurus land a powerful bite to the neck of the Spinosaurus. Despite the fact the T.rex’s teeth break through the Spino’s hide and crushes its neck, the Spino gets back up and quickly continues to fight. Studies suggest that Tyrannosaurus would have had the most powerful bite force of any terrestrial animal, 12,800 PSI ( pounds per square inch) which would be the equivalent of the animals body weight on top of you.

The Spinosaurus is also incredibly strong using its massive arms and claws to tear through a damaged plane, a river barge and ram through a large metal fence. We also see it strong enough to ram itself into and through trees with out injury. Lastly, this Theropod was strong enough to grapple onto the Tyrannosaur with both its jaws and forearms and snap its neck. So far this fighter is a beast! But, does it have any weaknesses?

WEAKNESSES
Like I previously mentioned, the Spinosaurus has a massive sail attached to its back which could intimidate any would be foes. That being said, the sail could become a massive hit box to opponent. The sail is also a direct part of the animals spine which could cost the spino dearly if severely damaged.
Now that we have all the stats about the Spinosaurus, how will the Cryodromeaus compare?

BACKSTORY
It is a cold January night in New York. Three poachers are sent by a mysterious enlister to a hidden land to hunt large herbivorous Dinosaurs. Two days later a resupply group is sent into the wilderness of Chimera island to one of the Outposts, Outpost ten. After the two groups come face to faces a massive shoot out ensues between both parties. Only after a large stampede and a horrific boating incident, the remaining survivors put their differences aside in order to escape the Grand Redwoods. However, during a deadly snowstorm the group is faced with yet another challenge, the male Cryodromeaus....

“ This animal wasn’t hunting and attacking them for food. It was filling up with lethal wounds and leaving them, just killing them.” Marshall’s thoughts on the Cryodromeaus, Outpost ten.

STATS
The Cryodromeaus stood at 17 feet in height, 53 feet in length and weighed 9 tons. The Cryodromeaus is also a fast moving predator, moving at speeds of 30 mph.

WEAPONS AND DEFENCES
The Cryodromeaus is a heavily armed with flat knife life serrated teeth in a jaws that can bite down with 8,000 PSI. The Dinosaur was also noted to have an excellent sense of smell and hearing. Large taloned feet covered in spicules and a extended fourth toe to aid in grappling are attached to the powerful legs of the Cryodromeaus. Lastly the Cryodromeaus has strong arms equipped with three large talons. In terms of defences, the Cryodromeaus have very strong hides as well as a thick coat of feathers. On top of their heads are brightly coloured crests used in both defensive and offensive purposes.

FEATS
During the events of Outpost ten the Cryodromeaus displayed various feats. We see him shot by 30 caliber bullets, ram through trees, 20 foot tall barbed wired fence and even use his jaws and neck muscles rip and smash his way through an entire Outpost before being buried underneath it and even that failed to stop it. Moments later it kicked the rubble covering its body off of it and continued its rampage. The arms of the Cryodromeaus are also very strong, used for close ranged grappling and even capable of helping to lift killed prey items as large as Gigacephalosaurus.

We later see the Cryodromeaus fight a female Magouloceratops during which it was quoted having a “ considerable level of intelligence, dodging, sidestepping and even countering and predicting some attacks”. This is further backed up by the fact that we see the Cryodromeaus attempt to gain control of the Magouloceratops frill in order to control its head and attack the neck. We also see the Magouloceratops gallop at the Cryo and ram into it, sending it tumbling into a tree. To find out exactly how much force the Magouloceratops hit the Cryo with I used Newton’s second law F= M x A ( force( Newton’s) equals mass ( kg) times acceleration ( meters per second squared) . Given that the Magouloceratops weigh 13 tons/ 11793.4 kg and charge at 20 mph/ 8.9408 mps we can solve this equation. 11793.4 kg x 8.9408^2= 942,740 Newtons. Judging by Newton’s second law, the Cryodromeaus would have been able to withstand 942,740 Newtons of force! Finally we see the Cryodromeaus knife like teeth cut through both building materials and the thick coat and hide of the Magouloceratops alike.
This predator is almost too good to be true but like every thing it has its weaknesses.

WEAKNESSES
During a study on the Cryodromeaus’ head, it was revealed that the animals did have a blind spot around the centre of their vision due to the crest meant to protect them.

This will be a fight of power, durability, ferocity and skill when the to apexes enter the scene. So who will win? Will it be the Spinosaurus, the super predator of Isla Sorna or the Cryodromeaus, the white drake of the Grand Redwoods? Let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below and if you’re interested be sure to check the Cryodromeaus Species profile to learn more about it. The Battle and the art piece for it will hopefully be completed in the next couple of days.
I hope you enjoyed this first part of the who would win and if your interested stay tuned to when the fight comes out. Thanks for reading!

Well I know who I think would win but I’m not sure if the spino family holds a grudge.
