Please bare with my stupid camera and the blurriness ;-;I would like to point out my stupidity:
That's not his actual armor in DA:I, I love it, but he just looks to serious with it, and loose clothes are better ^^
He has a really long sword and it's not a great sword or anything but whatever
His weapons are plain and weak looking. He's a king, he doesn't fight darkspawn anymore, but he still trains, so yeah. But when and if I draw him in his ceremonial battle armor, it will actually look nice
He has long hair. Now it's not really 'stupid' but I just wanted to point it out. He's following the fashion queues of his predecessors.
I gave him a cape. I love capes. I adore them. Those and cloaks.
There's probably a lot more, but these are the most prominent.

I absolutely adore it. Excellent choice with the cape and showing him with his weapons as well as more casual clothing. Very Alistair-esque.

Yeah, that makes total sense! I love what you did with it.
In my Alistair drawing, I was practicing drawing armour (with my warden there too), so I did his Inquisition king's "armour." I hadn't really drawn any armour before that, so I just followed a picture.

I did that before but it just irritated me (they have all these awesome outfits, and then there's the beige pajamas, the ball uniforms, and Alistair's armor bleh

Just take comfort in the fact that Alistair probably didn't pick that outfit for himself. They probably thrust it at him, assured him it was the latest kingly fashion, he made a face at it and then shrugged and went "Eh. I wish my wife was here. She always picked out my armour, and I survived the Blight juuuuust fine."
