Description

With no way to evacuate, the troops held their ground as the giant spider and her brood making their way towards them. Jet support had finally arrived, each missile killing dozens of spiders. The highly mobile D.A.K.A jets dodged and weaved between the strings spewed by the kaiju as they decimated more and more of the brood. This was a huge mistake. The furious spider launched forward, trampling towards the closest city like a runaway train. The jets were in hot pursuit, while tanks were waiting in its path. Their shots pelted the spider, but were unable to pierce its exoskeleton.

It had almost reached Salvador when it suddenly stopped. The troops had taken this opportunity to start killing the brood again, angering the mother and causing her to turn back. Now within range, a single shot from a ship-mounted railgun tore off two legs and opened a massive hole in her abdomen, causing her to crash to the ground.

Suddenly, thorny vines burst out of the spider, ripping her body to pieces. It hadn't been just one kaiju coming through the rift. The parasitic flower crushed the tanks and turned around to continue the attack on Salvador. The railgun's shots passed through the vines without damaging it, and the jets were out of missiles. It crashed into the city with its vines thrashing around, carving a path of destruction like a tornado. A tanker truck exploded under its mass, sending it backwards shrieking. Of course the plant feared fire! The jets were deployed again, this time carrying firebombs. It shrieked in anguish as the flames engulfed it, before toppling into the bay as a burnt husk.

Celebrations at D.A.K.A were cut short however, as the rift alerts blared once again.
