Description In Africa, civil wars are not uncommon, and Chad is no exception. In the initial stages of the War on Terror, the Chadian Government was embroiled in a ruthless civil war against the Alliance Unie pour le Changement des Peuples (lit:United Alliance for People's Change), often shortened to the AUCP. It was in this environment that Nod would seek to expand its influence into Africa following their victories in Egypt and Sudan. Under the command of Slavik, Nod forces intervened in the civil war by aligning with the AUCP who were easy to manipulate.

Nod’s first strike was the rather heinous act of helping their AUCP “allies” intercept a UN evacuation convoy carrying pro-government civilians away from both the civil war and the ever encroaching threat of Tiberium. Around dusk, the UN convoy was just about to leave the small city of Oum Hadjer when a swarm of Attack Bikes and Raider Buggies started to rush towards the city. Chadian soldiers along with UN Multigunner IFVs intercepted the attack but were unable to repel the attack. With the city defence wide the vehicles seemingly bypassed Oum Hadjer, however following behind them were the infantry moving in to secure and destroy the city.

What followed was intense urban fighting as NOD and AUCP soldiers dashed from building to building as UN reinforcements from the north tried to retake the city. All the while, AUCP militias started dragging out civilians from the enpounded convoy trucks. While NOD propaganda would state that these civilians were going to be forcibly drafted, the truth remains that what occurred was a ruthless slaughter of the people of Oum Hadjer by the AUCP

Around the same time as the Oum Hadjer massacre was occurring, to the south, the headquarters of the AUCP located south of the city of Mao, was under attack by pro-government militias who were laying siege to the smaller villages that made up said headquarters. Acting swifty, a combined infantry and mechanized division was able to decimate the militias just as the last AUCP squad was about to be wiped out. With the AUCP headquarters secured, the time came to counter attack.

With NOD’s infantry staying behind to defend both the headquarters and surrounding villages, a division of Attack Bikes and Raider Buggies made a series of devastating attacks on the city of Mao. Despite being bolstered by the UN supplied garrison stationed in the city, NOD was able to lay waste to Chadian forces with little effort. Soon after Mao was seemingly wiped off the map as NOD razed the city to the ground.

With both the northern and southern regions lost, the capital city of N'Djamena was now vulnerable. Seeing yet another blow delivered to them by NOD, UN forces retreated to the west and south, wanting to bolster their defences in areas like Mauritania. The fall of N'Djamena was (relatively) bloodless as the Chadian military laid down their arms and let the AUCP-NOD armies march in unopposed. Chad’s ruling president, Idriss Déby, and other ministers were dragged out from the Siège de l'Assemblé and were given televised “show trials” by both AUCP and NOD officers; a notable example was the “trial” of Déby himself, who was dragged to a post, tied up, then shot through the head by the leader of the AUCP, Hassan Baroud. Reportedly, Baroud shot Déby with a gun given to him by Kane himself (with some eyewitness accounts claiming they saw Kane point the gun at Baroud before offering it to him - a threat to ensure loyalty in return for the power he granted).
