Oh hey! I found the first time I ever used my blotching technique. It's probably got an actual name, I just have no idea.It's barely worth even posting, but the story behind it is kinda fun. Every once in a while, I'll get so bored that I'll role play something COMPLETELY abstract and try to have the most fun possible without the constraints of reality to guide the role play. So this time, I started me and a friend out in a totally white space and made these giant red balls of foam on flexible poles rise from the ground and I used them to grab on to and jump around. I'd swing back and forth and back and forth until I had enough of an energetic swing that I could LAUNCH myself off one and whiz over to another one, which I'd then hold onto as it then FLUNG me in another direction. It was a lot of fun! And then there was a swimming pool with so many bubbles being pumped through it, you could basically breathe under water.. and then I turned off gravity and the water went everywhere.. it was just such conceptual fun. X3
Anyway, to help describe what I was seeing, I drew this up in just like, a minute and a half. Blotching really saved my bacon cuz it would've taken me AGES to sketch it out.

I like the simplicity of it and the colour scheme, it looks nice.
And the next time we roleplay it should totally be a defying logic one ,omfg it sounds fun.

Heh.. then again, I laugh, but.. actually, I guess maybe I'm not okay? Or.. maybe I /am/ okay. I think it's a bit of both. I know it was meant to be a silly quip, but as I always do, I take silly things and make them serious. XD I've been horribly lonely and just generally miserable, but at the same time, I'm maybe recovering enough to finally give myself a nudge to come back to the community, if there is even one left. I'll find out soon enough. So I'm gonna try /again/. This will be my third attempt at reviving my place here. I'll never give up, it seems. And each time, I seem to last longer and longer, so hopefully that trend continues.
ANYWAY, enough about that, cuz I'm feelin' good! Thank you very much, though really, it's not deserving of compliments. It's just the EPITOME of a quick concept art. The friggin tail doesn't even taper! XD
ALSO YES, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. It's been a /long/ time since I've done a boundless, imagination-set-free role play. That would be /awesome/.

Don't worry, you know very well that I am exactly the same, you know how often I take things seriously, such as our random jumps from subject to subject.
However, I know I have said I am kinda focusing on life and stuff, but if you're ever lonely or want to talk, my door is always open. I might not get back to you straight away, but I always try to respond at some point.
I'm dying down on deviantart too, I know what you mean there, in a way, but hey, life doesn't revolve around this one site.
That it may be, but I have an affinity for simplistic art. It may be the "epitome of a quick concept art," but it's original.

I don't think it is, I think you have said some others, I think you yelled something American-ish on that group call on Skype, but they make me laugh, regardless.
