Yet another good deviation I've missed
Actually one of the better ones you've done, what exactly did you do?
I see the blender-blocks which look semi-transparent, but with opaque sides.
And most good work is done while being messed up XD

It's really just cubes placed in an array (side-by-side) with a direct lamp that lights only the front surface of the cube. Then imported into Photoshop, spammed paint bucket, and used Facet + one of the blend modes (forgot which) to create that semi-transparent effect.
