Just a random thing I cooked up, using an existing symbol for asexuality (a partially-black triangle) as a base -- I redrew the symbol myself, though I don't know who designed it originally, sadly. Simplest thing in the world to do, but it still looks pretty nifty.Why an asexual furry logo? Well, I'm asexual and furry, and I know from the AVEN forums that there are a number of others out there. Since the furry culture has quite a heavy tactile-affection focus, being an asexual fur puts you in quite the odd little niche, and can sometimes make you feel a bit at odds with the community in general. Asexuals in general are quite thin on the ground, and in furry possibly even moreso -- so I thought having a li'l symbol of pride to float around might help to unify us a bit more. Feel free to take and use this symbol as you like, add text, make it into icons, banners, poke it with spoons, whatever.
...and yes, it's yet more purple from me. o.o I swear that wasn't my design choice this time, though; the original logo had a purple background, and I coloured the pawprint to coordinate with that.
A lot of artist's notes for such a simple little piece, that. I swear these took longer to write than this did to make. :3

So... can asexual be classified as someone who has heterosexual desires and such, but just doesn't act on them or talk about them? I mean, I have a bf, but we're abstinent? What category do I fall in? Most people who aren't asexual tend to fall into having an obsession with sex... I'm confused... I guess I need to create a new category, a very specific one. Heterosexual, conservative, anthro fans! (I have an anthro character to represent myself, I just can't draw and I don't role play). I really hope someone responds to this.

when you are asexual, you hav no desire for sex, so no true asexual would "obsess" over it. That's usually the result of abstinence or wanting something you can't have. You're more than likely just conservative if you're waiting for sex. (lol yes, very late reply)

I'm partly furry (I quite like anthro art, but not that much) And in partly asexual (My sexual insterest is very low, but i wouldn't say i have zero sex interest altogether)

Well, asexuality means you don't "dig" or "fancy" either sex (kinda the oppisite of bisexual), and don't have any fetishes either. So you don't get "turned on" by anything, and your sexual interest is zero. Not all asexuals don't like being hugged or kissed, but just don't want to have sex.

a furry is someone who likes anthro art. animals that have been personified in some way. Most popular of which would be bugs bunny and mickey mouse.

By "I didn't invent the logo", I mean that I didn't invent the triangle or the idea of purple, but the three stripes on the bottom were sort of my take-off on the gay pride flag.

Hey, thanks! I'm glad it was okay to use. I assumed that whoever had made it wanted it to be in the public domain, since it's a symbol, but I couldn't be sure, and I couldn't find the original author largely because AVEN is down right now. Glad you like! ^^
