Description
I had made this for my friend Rob who was trying to start a comic book company called Merge. Though Merge never really took off, the work and growth I did for the short time I was there will always be strong in my heart. Much of it I can't show, other folks own them but there are a few that I can. I'll try to post them off and on. The first of which, is this Merman. The pencil work was scanned in and then I used Photoshop 6 for everything else. The fact that I'd drawn some scales on him was really enhanced by a sbutle pass of the Plastic Wrap filter via layers. I don't do much color work anymore....I really should get back to it. Just a side note : there's 3 versions of this one, and while this isn't my favorite version (the hands and colors weren't quite right) it's the sharpest of the 3 (the rest were low res alterations for comparison).
