Description Sorry for not being around as much. I had to take a rather sudden trip to California and haven't had time for much work of my own. I'm back though and time is slowly opening up for me so I will likely be posting more often.

This little guy is based on early designs for the Tooth Fairy creatures of HellBoy II: The Golden Army. They later made the beasts cuter and the teeth smaller. I'll post that up when I have a chance.

Hi to my pals and sorry for not calling - really hectic time.

wow, I maintain that zbrush has helped the animation industry take leaps and bounds in a few years, I'm assuming this is zbrush, not to belittle it at all, creature design is hard no matter how you go about it, but from the looks of things i need to go see hellboy for inspiration.

Yes, it was ZBrush and it's done wonders for allowing me to get ideas out quickly or just sit back and model something for fun. I hope you got to see Hellboy, if not, the DVD/Blu-Ray should be out in a few weeks.

Yeah, this was just a simple thing, no fancy materials used but I will strive to get some of that into my textures as well as use a render engine that can achieve different materials more easily.

hm . . ok. - another option with the "lower" render engine could be to render the same image repeatedly with different textures and compose the simple textures to a cool "multi"-texture with photoshop or another 2d software
