Description I'm never happy with maps... Redid this particular one. I'm zeroing in on a fast and easy map method...

So the circular walls are ruins left from a previous civilization. There is one intact tower which sits on a stone hill surrounded by a wooden palisade. Many of the buildings in the town outside the palisade use the ancient stone walls as foundations.

Great work -- keep at it! Finding "your style(s)" is tough; I've just started on that road myself. Maybe you're less than satisfied with this one, but I really dig it. Cool color usage (somber mood!), and *clear* to read, which is always the most useful thing to me as a DM.  If you don't mind, I'm going to *yoink* this for a campaign I'm running...

Also, what programs do you use? I see elements here that look like Photoshop or Gimp, but the buildings... Inkscape?

Thanks for the kind words! Feel free to 'yoink' away, I'm happy for people to use my maps in their games.

As for the programs, all my work is done in Corel Painter.

Awesome work. Seems like I have to put a D&D map for you on my wish list.
