Description This is a scene from the manga, Rockman Remix (or Megaman Megamix Ch 3).

I really enjoy how Ariga Hitoshi portrayed Shadow Man as a bodyguard-like robot who stays in Dr. Wily's shadow.

The short scene of Dr. Wily visiting a scrapyard in the manga have an indescribable mood and I was quite impressed. So I drew it.

Dr. Wily is holding an abandoned toy robotic doll.

Please cherish your toys.

Edit: It seemed too dark on some monitors, lighten up a bit.
Edit2 (2012): Fixed lighting.

This is a great scene from the manga. It shows that Wily is more than just some prototypical madman, it shows that even though he's a flawed character, he's still very human.

The emotions are easily seen and felt in this picture, and the mood truly is indescribable! I also love the expression set on Wily's face, it adds to the scene. This is fantastic work!

I have a little problem; where is the light source succeeding from?

(I have the manga, so it saves you having to explain in detail of the night scene. We are on the same level of knowing about it.)

Since originally there were NO lamps to begin with originally. It feels like it is where this light source is coming from really. Unless the sun happens to be in front of them. (Not possible though.)

They are highlighted on their sides. Wouldn't it make sense if something from BEHIND where to be shining in the back? The sun sitting...The moon. I would think it would drag in a more dark tone then having a shadow from behind Wily and switch it towards the front view. It would give us more focus on the object he is carrying.

(Mine me, just woke up so I made some minor spelling problems...Maybe. So me sorries if something sounds 'mean' when I'm not trying to be. Hope whatever I said helps.)

VERY amazing peice dude! O.O Very impressed how you set the mood of this scene even more with the color. I really liked this scene too for the same reasons actually XD I found it should a bit of Wily's good side and remourse for robots, showing that he does have some heart despite the fact that he's an evil genius.

Oh wow. You really took the concept on that episode of MegaMix to a new level. I love it. The scene gets more mood coloured like this. Nice work ^_

Very nice! It's hard to explain how I feel when I read that scene. While Wily often shows disdain towards his creations, Gigamix portrays how much care he truly has for robots. It's nice to see this side of the doctor that the games rarely show.

Huh. So that's what Wily looks like in normal cloths.

This is beautiful! I never got to read the Rockman Remix, so I don't know what Shadowman is like there, but he's a ninja and I'd guess he'd been that little bit extra loyal to his creator. I love the mood you met here, to me it actually feels quite melancholy. Dr. Wily holding on that scrappy piece of doll, as if wondering where in his life did it all go wrong and why he wanted to take over the world as badly as he did. Sort of like loss of innocence in a way. I don't know, I get philosophical sometimes but I can say that is very wonderfully drawn.
