His father was the leader of his clan and his brother was expected to be the new leader and he always used to make fun of Reginald because of that. But it was okay, because he had no desire to be a group leader, something that only made his brother annoyed and even more insufferable. Finally after a big fight (he won, cause he's not just older but higher level, which is one of the reasons his brother liked mocking him so much) his father banned him and he had to leave the lake.
He heard of a place called Pokkete town from a pokemon he met on his way and decided to check it out, not like he had a place to go anyway.
The sneasel loved the town, specially after he heard about the café. Of course, no one starts at the top, and the only job he got was as a waiter at the café. He's quite content with his life there tho. Planning to save enough money to open his own restaurant one day.
