Description
After having successive greatness for seasons on end, this feels like a downgrade. We are down to a biker gang and the ninja. Wu is gone, and we have a timeskip. The time travel was used as a way to retcon the character designs from the movie into the story. But this season focuses on avoiding his return and what it can bring. Here we are though, and the action is continuing. Though I must say the last two episodes brought in a powerful climax and great new villains working together.

In many regards, we have come full circle with Garmadon and the Ninja being alone with Wu. This could seem like recycling, but at the same time, I am more interested in Ninjago now than ever before. And I am curious to see where this will take us next season.
