Description Two years of hiatus did not kill Ninjago. With Season 3, the "soft reboot", the show went from good to great, and was able to explore new dimensions and stakes with the characters. While my impression was the show was set to mythologize rather than stick to an episodic route, this show has a good balance of both. While each internal conflict is resolved, the battles continue after the episode and we even had a few key twists to liven things up.

Ninjago continues to play Genre Roulette. The flavor of the season now is "cyberpunk". The technological aspects of Ninjago are hyped up, and robots and hackers dominate the main text. There were a few cool experiments like the Tron episode entering the "Digi-Verse", and the exploration of what corrupted Garmaddon. I think the show has been able to grow into its own, telling more serious storylines in different formats. These characters are versatile enough to be placed into various settings.

While Ninjago-vember may be over, the dive into this series is just warming up. So Seasons 4-11 will be covered. I can't promise a fast pace, but I do think it is reasonable to finish what I started.
